To day is a day of travel home. I wokck up and got there rest of my bagate all sorted throu. Then went off to breakfast befor going back to tack lugage to the bus. We then stoped and picked up Osman on the way to the air port.

This was an amzing building what had alibaster on the fasod and wonderful domed celings. Joust a very butiful building overall. We then sang some somgs that Osman requested and others as we wacked out of the mosk and down to the bus. The first song that he requested is ‘we love you with the love of the Lord’ I started this one and most of the others. This was defnly some thing that mend a lot to me. We then san more on the bus on the way to air port.

Dew to heavy trafic and getting off late it ended up tacking us much longer to get to the air port. We arived late and were rushing throu the airport. We had to go throu customes to get pasporst stamed and other things. One of the places where the scanner checks lugage it kep going even tho people had not come thru to get there bags and everthing started to be pushed off on the flour and bages started getting all caught up in the scanner. It was a big mess but was realy funy at same time, tact that they kep the belt runing and more and more lugage still going. Two of our people receved there cameras at the air port. One had left at hotell and they drove it to us and we were able to pick up at the gait. The other had lost it was Anna and it had ben found on the boad and amazingly made it 1/2 way acrost Egypt and to the air port minust befor we departed.

I ended up counting people as they got on the suttle bus to make shere every one arvied all right. On the flight I had the beff for lunch and a role and tryed to tack a nap. It was so butiful waching the Nial river bason as we flue over and as the watter flowed from the nile into the Mediteraniean Sea. Our flight then flu along the Egypt border befor we turned out and flue acrosed the mediteranieon and then on to Athans. Our pilet made a much steaper decent than any of the other flighs we have ben on and I had some pain in my ear for first time but it did not last for long. So far That all has went well consider all the flying we have bean doing.

When we arived at the air port it was like being home again and was a good fealing. Even tho Greek is fouren to us it was like something fumilar and was good to be back. After getting our lugage we all headed out in a carvan poling our lugage acrosed the air port out to meet Christian from Aristotal our traval agency. There he was off in the distance waring a Harding T-shirt and holding up a sign for us. Then it was off to our blu colord bus to tack us back to the Port Arafti where the Artimis is.

Last night we all receved an alounce for dinner. I went out with some frends and we originaly were going to the gyro place next to Taz but they were closed so ended up going to another place next to the ice cream shop. There we got a gyro sanwich and a coak cola. After we went next dor and got some ice cream. It was wonderful. Then wacked back to the Artimos to eat in the dining room.

Tonight we had church service in the living room here on campous. We did spontanous singing and then had a prayer in a round. For the prayer we all got on our hands and nees to pray and did a prayer in a round, each man that wanted to pray could. I started us off in the prayer. I also helped with preparing comunion and helped in serving it. Bruse lead us in some reflecting thoughts about our expernces in Egypt. We then concluded with a prayer. Then it was off to bead for the night.

This morning we woke up in our new hotell. Last night was a short one for sleep dew to our gettingin late. It was 1:30 befor I got to bed last night so we all are a little tired today. I went to breakfast and inhailed some food. It was wonderful!! They had french toesed, asorment of pastries, arick bread and other breakfast food. It was nice to have some more fimilar breakfast food again. Tomaro I will try to get here earler so that I can have some time to eat it. After breakfast it was off to the bus where Magny our bus driver is waiting for us.

The first stop today is the Ciro museum. Here we went throu and saw many of the peaces that we had tocked about all week. There was so many neet things in side and was great to tack it all in. The building was built in the 1800’s and stored many neet artfacts, like the oldest mumey, gold masks, statues, first ihnset eyes, much much more. I realy injoyed the musum and getting to see all the artfacts. Osman took us on the hyper speed going throu the museum dew to us being so tired. We originly were going to do it in the evning / afternoon but decided we weould be better offf to do it in the morning.

The second stop was at the geza perimids. This was defenly one of the hilighs of the trip. Getting to see them inperson was amazing. They are so huge. One thing that suprized me is how close the cityis to them. I had expected them to be out in the desert mor than they are now. One of the facst ath puts things in prospective is that all 3 of the main perimids could mack a wall around the entire earth at teh equator.

Whall still at eh perimids we stoped by asnd saw the soler boadt. It was huge. It is sed to be the oldes know boat in the world. Finding all the parts tothis boad was an amazing finde and they did a wonderful job restoring the boat back to its original shape. They did anmazing job and was inpressive to finde somany of the pars in such great shape. This boat would have ben used to transoprt items to be stored int he toums of the Pharos.

Flolowing this we went to the jourly shop where I bought a few Cartushes with names inthem in hirglifpicks. We also stoped by a restrant and had some lunch. It apeard that Osman ate there quit a bit dew to the reactions on the faces of the people when we arived and how he was acting around them. It was an exslent lunch, defently a feast.

We also were able to go into a perimid in this area. It was reacly cool going dowin the differnt pasage waes and the steep cligm down and out of it. The roulms open up the thes larg places for stroing things in them. This is the only tperimid that has wrightings on the walls know today.

We also stoped by a toum that is like a house. This toum has the most perserved walls and coloring in the world. It was so butiful. We were not supost to tack photes any where around it but the gards were nice and let us have one person come in and tack photes for our school. They selected me and so I went in and quilly took photes. They turnd out wonderful. This was defenly one of the hilights of the day.

Then we went to the Step perimid and took photoes there. Here also is the oldest arched cling and the oldes wall that has bean reconstructed. With my backgound in arctecture this was espshuly neet to see.

Folowing our travales and sight seeing today we drove the bus to Osman’s home to see his family and to have some refreshments. This was a wonderful time. It was so neet to see him with his family and to get to meet his younges wich is about 18 moths now if I remimber corectly. We had sodas and cack there and sat around and tocked with his family. He has a realy nice place over looking the nile river in a aprtment building on the 6th flour. Osman and his wife met when she was on a tour and he ended up being the tour guide. Folowing that they started seeing eachother and the reast is history. Befor we left we had a short bible study and sang some somgs to his family. We ended with Lord bless you and keep you and the Greates Camands. Then as we were leaving Osman gave Anna a dalery for maring his younges. They were very quet together. We then sead our good bys to his family and Osman road back with us on the bus. I am realy going to miss him. He is a wonderful person. I gave him a cd of some accapela singing that I had with me so he can now here it every day. They may get to come visit our campous in Greece in first part of July befor he comes to the USA to California to do some teaching there. I pray that this works out and that we might have some more time to be with him and so he can see our place and worship with us here in chaple. Well we had to leave becaus the polece were getting upset for the bus being parked out on the highway for so long so we had to go. Osman then handed out roses to all the ladys and staff as we left on the bus. Tonight as we rode back to the hotell there was a wonderful sunset over the nile river.

Then it was back to the hotell for supper and then off to bed. I did some wrighting in jernal to ceach up for the week and then took a little break.

Tomaro we leave Egypt. It has ben a wonderful trip. I realy have gained a lot from it and was great to beable to tap into Osman knolage that he has. It is amazing this vas knolage on so many of the places and area. I will never forget the past week and all the expernces that I have expernced in my travles here. We have travled counles miles and wocked many more. Had 7 plain flights and now it is almos time to head back to our summer home in Greece. This is truly a wonderful place and I am going to realy miss my time that I have had in this wonderful land.

Today woke up and got the rest of my tings all packed up and set my sucase out to go up to be loaded on to the bus. After breafast on the boat we all wacked up and met in the loby todepart to Abu-Simul by flying. We cought a bus that will tack us to the air port to go see our sittes today. He will tack us to the air port and then we will fly to Abu-Simbal where we will go see two temples. It is only about 40 min ride to our destination on the plain. They have built this air port primarly joust for tourest and others to come see this site. I found this realy amazing.

Once we arived at Abu-Symbul we cought a bus and road it to the site by the man maid lack caused by the dam there. There are shopes and a little eating area outside under a shaid from a rouf for people to relax and cool dowin befor of after seeing the temple.

The tempels were moved so that they might be saved when they built the dam. They were carved out of the side of a mounton so inorder to move them they literaly had to move a mounton. The detailes in the statues and the sheir size was amazing. To think of the porportions that they were dealing with was ausom. Thinking of the tack it would have bean to move thes stones and to keep the mounton all in line so that the sun would shine the right way is realy amazing. The first temple on the left when looking at them has an opining for the dor and on the same day of the year the sun shines in and lights up the pharo head in the back of the tempe.

From here it was back to the bus and then on to the air port to fly back to Luxar. Here we go back to the ship and freshen up a bit befor heading out on the river nile bye boat. Once back at the ship we had all our lugage stored in the loby tobe tacken to beh bus. Whe then had stored our bages in the basment of the ship so we wen there and got fressend up. Several of our gyes all decided to get into one bead and that was realy funy.

After tacking a little bit of a break it was then off on a moter boat ride. We road it over to the patanical gardens where a former travler had come and had brought plants from all over to help mack this lisland his won and so that he might better injoy his place to live. There were man goris flowers, plants and vareations of paulm trees. It was joust gorgous. God blessed us with another cool day that was not to unbaribly hot wich was wonderful.

From here we road back to first place to dock where we cought a bus to ride up to a hotel for dinner. Denner was a befay and the food was exslant. After dinner it was back to the air port to fly to Ciro where we will spend tonight and Saterday night.

On the plain fight I spock with a man who was a former Egyption and is now living in france and wrights for a magazine. We had a good flight. During the flight I spock with a gentlman who was born and grew up in Egypt but now is living in france and wrighting fr a publication there. This was intersting and did not get very far in teaching and exploring ideas with him but was a good study of the bibles teachings.

We arived laight at our hotell and we eneded up droping Osman off at his howm on the way back.

This morning we are off to see one of the temples that was moved and saved when they built the dams on the nile river. We drove and saw two dams today. The Oswan, …… and then we took a boat ride to this temple. It was located acrosed the inle from where we had docked. This was amazing seeing the detal that was kepted and how every rock had ben restored to it’s orignal place. Whall we were wating to start touring the temp Vick joumped a stone wall like a herdal after Osman had herd about here skiping tryouts for nationals in track to come to Egypt and so he wanted to see here run and joup.

Folowing lunch and a rest back at the boat we went on a nother boat ride on the nile. This one was longer than the one this morning, about 45 min. We concluded our boad ride at a Nubean viliage. Here we got out and went and saw a home there. Many people inour group heled a crokidile. That was very cool! Alos had some Hot hobiskus tea and some people got some tatus doen that last about 2 weeks befor falling off the skin. After this a older man started playing a song for us on a stringed instermint and some of the local childeren started danceing. Befor long about 1/2 of our group had joyned in and we were all dancing around the house singing there songs. This was quite an experence and was a lot of fun!

The next stop was for us to wack acrosed the small viliage to there school. After touring the school and tacking a few photoes from the top of one of the roufes we went down and got on some camals for our ride out acrosed the desert by the Nile river. On the boat ride we passed where the kings are baried for the city there and we also passed one of the light houses of Alexandera where they would light a flame as a worning system. My driver name was Mohmad. We road the camals throu the viliage and then out acrosed a short pice of desert to an out post where we got off the camel. This was realy neet. Was an experience I will not forget. After getting off the camal I scuped up somesand and put it in a bottel to bring back. Then it was back to the boat to tack our ride home. One the way back we pased by Elephen Island and also went by a hotell where all the rolty stay and a famous wright stayed. Then it was back to the boat.

Later tonight I went sweiming up on deack and then sat around and tocked for a while. Then it was off to bed.
